WTF is EFT?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a gentle, body-based practice that helps release emotional blocks and calm the nervous system by tapping on specific points on the body while naming what’s true for you.

It’s often described as psychological acupressure. It combines ancient energy pathways (meridians) with modern understanding of stress, emotion, and self-regulation. You tap, you breathe, you tell the truth, and something lets go.

EFT is especially powerful for creatives because it helps quiet the inner critic, reduce fear of judgment, and restore a felt sense of safety, which is where creativity actually flows from.

How I Found EFT

I didn’t learn EFT in a classroom.

I learned it in the back of a minivan on a road trip to California, with 4 other women in the car.

A dear elder (a Turkish woman who has spent many years working as a healer), shared this tapping practice with us.

I felt something shift almost immediately.

Since then, EFT has become one of my most trusted tools for working through creative doubt, insecurity, and those moments when inspiration feels blocked or unreachable. That’s why I’m sharing it with you.

Is This Woo or Is This Real?

Like most of the good things in life, both.

EFT is used by therapists, coaches, and practitioners around the world to support emotional regulation, stress reduction, and trauma-informed healing. You don’t need to believe in anything for it to work.

All you need is a body, a few minutes, and a willingness to meet yourself honestly.
